No. Provided that the domain is registered in your name (as it should be), you can simply update your namservers (from where you manage your domain names) to that of your new host.
We register your domains in your name and address. You are the legal owner of all domains registered by Tech Freedom Online. We act as your hosting company and host your domains on your behalf. The person or organisation named in the application is called the Registrant; this name appears at the top of the results page of any 'WhoIs' lookup.
A domain name (also known as a "domain") is a unique name that identifies places on the Internet. An example of a domain name is domain.com. Domains can be used as part of a website address (e.g., www.domain.com) or they can form part of an email address (e.g., support@domain.com). Domain names allow you to use descriptive words to better enable people to remember your website or email address!
Use a WHOIS tool. Type in your domain name and look for the line which reads something like this (the exact format depends on which ICANN registrar the name is registered with):
Record expires on 09-Oct-2005.
DNS (Domain Name System) is a system that translates a domain name from letters (www.techfreedomonline.com) into a numerical IP address 63.85.86.14 Each time you register a domain name you must specify your DNS information. If you register a domain name through Domain Name Registration! Inc. you can use our DNS information free of charge! This is known in the industry as "parking" a domain- parking is free using Tech Freedom Online's servers. You can also change the DNS information at any time, also free of charge, but be aware, your new DNS host may charge you a parking fee...
If you have a new web site or email account, your web hosting company or ISP will ask you to change your DNS information (typically, they would become the new DNS host) so that your domain name can be connected to your web site and your email account can be setup.
Admin Contact : This is the only person allowed to make changes to the domain. Ensure this Email address is always kept up-to-date.
Billing Contact : This is the contact responsible for billing issues with regard to this domain's registration. All renewal information will be sent to this address.
Technical Contact : This is the person who is normally responsible for Web hosting, mail, and other DNS issues for your domain. However, unless they are granted access by the Admin Contact, they have no authority to make any changes.
Unlike some of our competitors, with our service you can access your site with both (www.yourname.com) and without (yourname.com).
